Volunteering Auckland Media Team
Volunteering Auckland is an organisation I have been with since high school when I first started volunteering. Last year I decided to join their media team for a while and write some pieces, especially about my own experience with finding volunteering roles and eventually employment through the organisation.
This piece was about my journey as an immigrant, finding my place by volunteering for refugee organisations. I wanted to emphasize the powerful connection between finding a sense of belonging and giving back to your community.
